Tales from the Attitude Era (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates talesfromtheattitudeera.com (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
We collect very little personal information directly. The main ways information reaches us are:
Contact form. If you submit our contact form, we receive the name, email address, and message you provide, so we can reply to you.
Analytics cookies. With your consent (see “Cookies & Consent” below), we may use privacy-conscious analytics tools such as Google Analytics and/or Statcounter to understand aggregate traffic – for example, how many people visit, which pages are popular, and general device/location information. This data is not used to personally identify you.
Embedded players. Episode pages embed a YouTube video player and an Acast audio player. These third-party embeds may set their own cookies or collect data according to their own privacy policies, including for advertising and ad measurement purposes on the Acast player. We don’t control this data collection. See Google’s and Acast’s privacy policies for details:
Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Acast Privacy Policy: https://www.acast.com/privacy
Cookies & Consent
When you first visit the Site, you’ll see a cookie banner asking whether you’d like to accept or decline non-essential cookies (i.e., analytics). If you decline, no analytics scripts are loaded. You can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. Embedded third-party players (YouTube, Acast) may still set their own cookies when you interact with them directly, independent of this banner, per their own policies.
How We Use Information
We use the information described above to: respond to messages sent through the contact form; understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it; and, if enabled, measure aggregate traffic through analytics tools. We do not sell your personal information.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live (for example, under the EU/UK GDPR or U.S. state privacy laws), you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, contact us using the details below.
Children’s Privacy
The Site is a commentary podcast about professional wrestling and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision.
